OUR HISTORY

Ayers Public Relations is a descendent of one of the first public relations counseling firms in the Rocky Mountain Region founded in the early 1950s by Richard K. Ayers. Still based in the Denver area, Ayers Public Relations occupies another unique niche. The firm now is managed by third-generation practitioner Sydney Ayers, APR, who followed in the footsteps of not only her grandfather but her father, Rendall Ayers, APR, Fellow PRSA, a well-known public relations professional in his own right. Three generations in a field as relatively new as public relations is believed unprecedented in the United States.

Ayers Public Relations is a full service public relations practice with special expertise in issues management, marketing public relations and brand management. We have served clients in a variety of industries including professional services, financial services, manufacturing, real estate and technology. We also work with government entities, public institutions, professional and hobby associations, and non-profits.

The firm has successfully served a variety of clients on local, regional, national and international levels. We helped a multinational communications firm respond to dozens of informational requests in North America and Europe, provided spokesperson training and led nation-wide media tours building consumer sales of technology products, contributed to early cash flow of software companies introducing new products and devised a program enabling an international oil company to expand in South America. Regional programs helped a major airline rebuild image and restore passenger loads after a Chapter 11 bankruptcy, a grocery retailer maintain customer base during and after a labor strike, and a real estate developer strengthen community identity.

Local and statewide work has included launch of a new banking corporation, issues campaigns and membership development for a statewide association, and communications surrounding mergers and acquisitions involving some of the area's largest legal and accounting firms.
